Funny Videos are one of the best ways to generate leads. It’s a little known secret (well, not anymore!) that funny videos are one of the best videos when it comes to “viral marketing”. Often also known as “viral videos”, they spread over the Internet like wild fire. In order to create a funny video, you don’t have to do much. Just pick up your handycam and create anything funny. You might want to just capture some funny moment at your office or may be at your home; May be something funny when you were even writing a blog! It’s really simple.

You can find lot of material on the Web that talks about how to create a funny video. But let’s talk about how to generate leads from funny videos. Here’s what you need to keep in mind:
Use the Right Keywords
Keep in mind that the main goal of your video is to generate leads. The only way people will be able to find your video is if you used the right keywords in your video description when you upload it on any video forum such as youtube. The keywords must not only be related to your line of business (i.e. whatever you are promoting) but also they must be in sync with the video itself! You don’t want to fall into the category of a bad video marketer. People will quickly recognize you as a fake and that will actually have a very bad impact! So make sure to choose the right theme, the keywords and make sure to cover those keywords in your video. For example, you could use “Folding Chair, Origami” as your keywords and in the video you could show how to make one! And then promote your business about teaching Origami! While covering the video you could do something stupid. Perhaps make a video on “My stupid mistake in Origami”; show something stupid that people would laugh about and share; and show them how you always make sure you never do that stupid mistake again.
Keep it Short
The fact is that no one has time to spend on a video for longer than few minutes. The longer your video is the more are the chances that very few people will actually see it ’til the end. And so most of your marketing pitch will go waste! Keep the video short. 1-2 minute videos are the best.
Don’t forget to share your video with your friends and on various forums. Funny videos too need a “kick start”; but once they catch the momentum, the results and responses are phenomenal.
Reply to people who respond
The most important part is making sure you reply back to people who reply to your video. Remember the main goal is to generate leads. You can only do that once you get some attention and then follow up with the people who showed any kind of interest.
